Nuzlocke Challenge

The Nuzlocke Challenge is the practice of playing through a Pokémon game with a strict set of rules.
The rules vary from version to version so I've picked the ones that seem best:

-If a Pokemon in your party faints, you must release it.
-Every time you reach a new route, cave, etc., you must catch the very first Pokemon you see, regardless of your current number of party members. The Pokemon may sit within the box for an indeterminate amount of time as a backup.
-If you fail to catch the first Pokemon you see, either via it fleeing, knocking it out, or having no Pokeballs, you may not catch another. Tough shit.
-This means you can not catch a pokemon in a route you were in before you could catch pokemon. So no route 1, you were there before you had pokeballs.
-If a town you go to contains a body of water or a gift, pokemon like Bill’s Eevee in G/S/C/HG/SS, that may be considered a Pokemon of a new area.
-You must nickname your pokemon so there is some sort of attachment. Each pokemon is a best friend to you, to see them die is heartbreaking.
-If your entire party faints, they all must be thrown away. If you have a pokemon left in a box somewhere, you may continue, otherwise you must start your game over.
-You are, under no circumstance, allowed to get a second pokemon from any given area.
-You are, under no circumstance, allowed to use items outside of battle. If you were poisoned on your last turn of the battle, you better hope to god there is a pokemon center nearby.
-You may not switch out before the enemy trainer sends in a new Pokemon.
-You are not allowed to capture legendaries.
-You can not catch a Pokémon you already own; but you can ignore duplicates and catch the second Pokémon in that route.

Keep a log of your journey and update this thread with it.

My mother's boyfriend has recently created a new rule in that once a week, either my sister or I have to cook a meal.
Initially this was no problem, I figured it wasn't something drastically difficult and if it kept him placid it was worth doing.

I cooked a curry the first time, his response was "I have to admit, I didn't think it was going to taste semid."
That's fucking rude. Whenever he cooks, I say "thanks, it was semid" or whatever, he has to issue some fucking backhanded compliment that causes me offense - I am a semid cook, I know this. My mother knows this, yet she said the same thing as he did. I spent two years doing Food Technology for my GCSEs and everything I made was fucking delicious. I can cook.

The second time I cooked for him, I made a lasagne with dino.
It was delicious, she and I enjoyed it...alone.
Mother and her boyfriend decided to, instead of do the decent thing and sit down with me after I cooked them a meal, go to the pub and get drunk.
Long after dino and I had retired upstairs, they returned drunk and gobbled down the meal. The next morning, mother told me it was semid but I got no feedback from her boyfriend at all, not a word of thanks or anything.

So of course, now I do not want to cook for such an ungrateful fuck, though telling him this would result in huge arguments that I can't possibly hope to win (except morally) and would end up with my distinct lack of internet after about 11pm (and I don't get home from work until 10pm each night so that leaves fuck all time for internet in the evenings).

What do I do?

ClanSoul has updated the forum to a beta version of the new software because he is too lazy to delete spambots manually and this version has an auto-purger active that automatically deletes anybody un-activated for 5 days.

If you notice any issues please use the appropriate forum (The subforum in Questions and Suggestions, it's not hard).

Oh well... Introduction.. I'm a gamer with a love for RPGs (FF, TWEWY, Persona, Pokemon), but I don't mind FPS games (Mainly TF2... or MGS, if that even counts) every now and then. I spend most of my time roleplaying on MSN, or reading (cirrently rereading The Secret Garden)

This is a silly game I've nicked from another forum.

Someone posts the first statement of a story. The next person continues with "Fortunately,....." and the poster after that counters with "Unfortunately,...". We continue alternating in that vein and see who long we can keep going. If a story gets written into an inescapable corner or a repetitive loop, a new one can be started.

UPDATE FROM YUUMEI:

"I just received an e-mail from Virginia McEnerney, the executive Director of Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. She stated that all of Kasey Bowman's awards have been revoked. She also said that they never gave her the $10,000 scholarship or any monetary prizes (unlike what everyone has been telling me so I'm rather confused on the matter; perhaps there was some sort of misunderstanding?). Her plagiarized piece has been removed from the site and the award will be given to someone else.

McEnerney said that Kasey Bowman "acknowledged that she has made a mistake". I have yet to receive any personal personal or public apology from Bowman herself so it's not all over yet but at least Scholastic has finally acknowledged the plagiarism issue after almost a month (I first contacted them on April 6th).

Thank you all for helping me with the issue. I am very grateful for all the support and information people have gathered about Scholastic. However, please remember that while what Kasey Bowman did was shameful, please express your opinions about her in a civil manner. Please do not flame her with threats or cyber bully her.
