Bah!
See, normally I wouldn't post in this kind of forum for reasons known only to myself. However, I don't like seeing an empty forum and I am somewhat puzzled at something so why not :p

Over the past few days my emotions have been all over the place and I have no idea why. Maybe one of you lot knows what could cause this kind of thing to happen.

RE: Bah!
Our lives are full of turmoils, the one thing that a person does (whether consciously or unconsciously) is try to find an equilibrium in our environment. This could mean socialization, physicality, or even spiritual 'demands' are not being met properly.

Somethings that may cause 'haywire emotions' and stress:
- Responsibility: Taking responsibility for actions and work is a good thing, but are you sure that you aren't putting to much on your plate at once?
- Social pressures: Are others around you being to demanding? Are you trying to meet others expectations that may conflict with your abilities to actually do so?
- Physiological imbalances: Are you eating properly? Sleeping well? Sometimes the body doesn't have the energy to efficiently cope with the environmental demands.

Tips:
- Take one step at a time. If you find that you are trying to do to much at a time. Stop and focus on each problem one at a time.
- Watch and catalog your emotions. Have a notebook with you, when ever you feel a change in mood write down when, where, what emotion was changed, and what caused it to change. At the end of the day review it and try to dissect what is causing you to be so upset.
- Take a day off for yourself if you feel too pressured by those around you. If you play an instrument, play it. If you like to go skateboarding, skateboard. Just remember, do it for YOU. Have fun and don't get frustrated.
- Eat foods that are good for you or cut down on foods that aren't good for you. Have a balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fast foods or high sugared substances should be avoided.
- Understand that you are asking for help and that IS the first step of becoming better. With out personal awareness there is very little one can do.
- Meditation can help or at least a time in the day you can sit down and just rest. Find a quiet place to close your eyes and breath. Focus on your pattern of breathing, take long inhales and exhales. Enjoy the peace and moment of silence.

Did you know?:
- Our pattern of breathing increases while stressed. Normal breaths per minute is usually 12. A person with very little stress breaths usually at 8 per minute.

RE: Bah!
Hmm, I think I'll give some of that a go. The meditation thing would be hard though, it's NEVER quiet in my house. Hopefully I might be able to see some improvements.

I suppose the change in diet and sleeping times may have something to do with it, though I was improving them. Getting as much sleep as I should and eating properly.

Maybe this is how normal people are and I just got used to feeling nothing xD

RE: Bah!
Yes, even a change in diet that is bad to good can make the body react differently. It is something that your body has to get used to as well.

Glad that I could pass some information on. I wish you the best of luck. Take it slow, being hasty is usually not a good thing with this type of situation.

Clearly the answer is drugs!

Noooo, wait, you would know if that was it. Well if its any assurance, my mood varies pretty randomly as well.

But really, Jake's reply is accurate and thorough. Have you tried some of those tips and has it worked out for you?

RE: Bah!
Heh, I've had a month long vacation :p It's helped somewhat. I do not suggest anyone spend this long with our Overlord or they'll want to kill themselves. Or him.

And there's drugs waiting for me when I get back, so that's good 8D
